You ever feel like you know what to do in your business… but something deep down keeps stopping you from actually doing it?
Like you freeze before hitting “post,” or you second-guess every offer you put out?
Yeah — that was me.
I was watching one of my favorite podcasts — BIG Deal with Codie Sanchez — shoutout to her, she’s amazing.
Codie always asks her guests a question like:
“How can an entrepreneur show up more in their business day-to-day?”
And the answers are usually something like:
“Just do it.” (Ha, like Nike.)
“Don’t you want to make the money?”
And I’d think… of course I want to make money!
Of course I know I need to show up.
But no one ever explains how to do it.
So today, I want to share the exact process that helped me calm my anxiety, silence that voice that said I wasn’t good enough, and start performing — through imperfection.
Because I’m in the trenches with you, building a million-dollar business step by step, one brave post at a time.
💡 Step 1: Go Back to the Past
When imposter syndrome hit, I reminded myself who I already was.
In my past, I’ve generated $220K in retail sales, and before that, I closed $10K website design projects.
What did I do then?
I showed up.
I didn’t aim for perfection.
I collaborated and connected human to human — not from a place of desperation or “sales mode.”
My energy back then was calm, confident, and focused.
I trusted that the small daily tasks I was doing were moving me closer to the goal — and I wasn’t obsessed with instant results.
So if you’re doubting yourself, look back at your receipts.
You’ve already done incredible things. Let that remind you of your power.
💡 Step 2: Listen to Other Entrepreneurs’ Stories
Hearing other people’s journeys reminded me that everyone starts somewhere.
The BIG Deal podcast showed me that success doesn’t come from perfection — it comes from consistency.
I started listening to Afran and Sina Port on branding and storytelling.
That shifted everything for me.
I stopped hiding behind promo posts and started sharing my real experiences.
When you humanize your content, you connect deeper.
People buy from people — not from perfect feeds.
💡 Step 3: Create in a Way That Feels Aligned
This one changed my peace.
I asked myself, what kind of content can I create consistently without burning out?
I realized I’m not great at short-form “microwave” content.
It makes me feel like an influencer chasing trends — not a business owner building legacy.
I thrive in long-form storytelling, community, and connection.
So that’s why you’ll find me here — on YouTube, Skool, Facebook Groups, and Substack.
These are the platforms that support depth, not just dopamine.
When you choose platforms that match your energy, showing up feels natural — not forced.
💡 Step 4: Heal Your Money Wounds
And the final step… healing my relationship with money.
I realized my nervous system didn’t feel safe earning more.
So every time I’d get close to a breakthrough, I’d sabotage it.
I started watching interviews and YouTube videos about money mindset, childhood patterns, and nervous system regulation.
I began journaling on questions like:
“What did I learn about money growing up?”
“Do I believe I can handle wealth?”
That awareness helped me release the guilt and scarcity that kept me small.
Now, I see money as energy — not pressure.
This is my real process. Not something I read in a self-help book, but the steps I personally took to calm my anxiety, rebuild my confidence, and perform through imperfection.
Because I’m not talking to you from a mountaintop —
I’m in the trenches with you, building this million-dollar business one brave day at a time.
[Step 1 – Go Back to Your Past Wins]
When that voice says, “You’re not good enough,”
I go back to the receipts.
In my past, I’ve generated over $220,000 in retail sales.
Before that, I closed $10K website design projects as a freelancer.
I remind myself — I’ve done hard things before. I’ve created results before.
Imposter syndrome hates evidence.
So, when doubt shows up, bring the data.
[Step 2 – Calm the Nervous System]
You can’t create or perform from a place of panic.
So I started doing something simple: deep grounding before I work.
Before I film, write, or meet clients, I take 3 slow breaths.
I unclench my jaw. I drop my shoulders. I tell my body, you’re safe to be seen.
Because confidence isn’t a mindset — it’s a nervous system regulation.
[Step 3 – Redefine Perfection]
I stopped trying to look perfect and started focusing on being present.
I told myself, “If I show up messy, I’m still showing up.”
I didn’t need to be the best — I just needed to be visible.
The more I practiced that, the quieter the imposter got.
[Step 4 – Anchor in Identity]
Every morning I ask, “Who am I becoming?”
Not what do I need to do? but who am I choosing to be?
Because when you align with the identity of a woman building a million-dollar business — your actions start to follow.
So if imposter syndrome has been holding you back, remember this:
You don’t need more motivation — you need more momentum.
Start small.
Show up scared.
And when that voice says you’re not ready — remind it of everything you’ve already done.
Because you’re not an imposter.
You’re in progress.
And that’s what real leadership looks like.
